Light Boxes to Improve Your Product Photography

There are several different options available out there for light boxes. Here's the thing. In order to sell your products online, you need really good pictures of what you're selling. You need to be able to stand out amongst all the other businesses selling a similar product. If someone can't touch a product in person, you need to have quality pictures that capture the true beauty of what you're selling or people won't purchase from you.

You can always create your own light box. Most people create their own using a cardboard box, some white tissue paper, and tape. You can follow this easy step by step tutorial if you want to make your own.

There are also some different options on Amazon. Here's the one I started out with first. It wasn't awful, but I hated that I had to not only make room for my light box, but also for the lights to go with it since they weren't included. Then I found out that the lights that came with the box weren't that great, so I purchased additional lights. This whole setup took up more room than the larger light box I have now.

I now a much larger light box that folds up easily and much smaller than the light box above when you count in the additional lights I had to purchase.

When you open it up, the lights automatically come on if it's plugged in, and they're a part of the actual box. This means that I don't have to set up lights and try to find the best placement. They're already included.

It also comes with a white backdrop that stays in place as you open and close the light box. It's so convenient that I don't have to add anything extra. It's all there!!

It also has a front flap that falls in place when you are ready to take pictures. It has magnetic picture holes that allow you to easily take photos. This is perfect because the back of the flap is white to reflect even more light back onto the product you're photographing.

This light box has seriously changed my product pictures for the better. I love how crisp and clean they look, and they look so much more professional. I do edit my photos in an app called PicTapGo, and add my watermark using the app iWatermark. I think no matter what light box you use, you're going to need to do a little editing.

How gorgeous are these pictures?? And they are as close to how these tumblers look in true life as I can possibly get. I'm not saying you have to get the exact same light box as I have, but I am saying that having high quality pictures will increase your sales. People judge a product online based on it's how it appears in pictures. You want to create a picture that grabs their attention and stops them in their tracks!!
