Given Enough Mod Podge, I Could Rule The World

JK!! But, seriously. I get asked ALL. THE. TIME. what Mod Podge I use when creating my tumblers. So I thought I would make a Mod Podge guide, and explain why I like the mod podge I use.

First of all, all mod podges are essentially the same thing. Meaning that they can do three things: glue, seal, and finish. What this means is that there isn't really a wrong mod podge to use. It's all about what you prefer. Here are my two favorites to use for applying glitter to a tumbler.

Hardcoat Mod Podge: This formula was created to be TOUGH. What I love about it, is that it seems to dry faster than other mod podge formulas, and it holds more glitter to my tumbler which results in a blingier (is this even a word?) finish. And isn't that what we want for our tumblers?

Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge: This formula was created to go in the dishwasher; however, that's not really why I like this one. FYI - Tumblers are NOT dishwasher safe. I like the consistency of this formula, and how well the glitter adheres to my tumblers.

Classic Mod Podge: This is the formula that was originally created, and it's available in a matte or gloss finish. This one also works fine, but it seems to take longer to dry. It also has a weird smell that I don't like.

At the end of the day, you can essentially use ANY mod podge to create your tumblers. Don't get hung up on trying to find the perfect one. Just do it!!
